As you explore the world of Black Myth: Wukong, you will discover various magical objects and weapons. While most are pretty straightforward, like crafting ingredients, there are a handful of items with unknown uses. When you traverse through the Webbed Hollow, you may get your hands on a strange object called Rice Cocoons in Black Myth: Wukong. According to the description, you can use it as an offering for the Silkworm Deity. However, you won’t meet an immortal with this name. Instead, you can feed this item to Proto-Amaurworm to get a spirit.
How To Get Rice Cocoons in Black Myth: Wukong
You can obtain Rice Cocoons in Black Myth: Wukong by destroying spider cocoons inside Webbed Hollow. There are a ton of this thing in the spider nest, but I obtained two in the Upper Hollow. The drop seems to be random though so my best tip is to destroy all cocoons that you see.
If you want to check the same spot where I got my Rice Cocoons, you can follow these directions:
- Teleport to the Upper Hollow Keeper’s Shrine.
- Climb up the stairs to your right and go past the houses.
- Pass through the building with the golden turtle chest.
- Follow the path to find two clusters of spider cocoons.
How To Obtain & Feed Proto-Amaurworm
You can use Rice Cocoons to feed Proto-Amaurworm. To get this special creature, you must first defeat the Elder Amaurworm boss inside the spider nest. Here is how you can reach the Yaoguai:
- Teleport to Verdure Bridge Keeper’s Shrine.
- Head to the area with spider cocoons on your left side.
- Turn left again until you see a gate with two yelling lamps.
- Enter the building and open the chests to get free items.
- Go deeper to find the Elder Amourworm boss.
After you defeat the monster, you can enter the Ruyi Scroll and speak with Chen Loong. The dragon will take the Proto-Armourworm Key Item and then you can rest at the shrine. Afterward, you can find a small worm on one of the plant baskets.
Once you feed three Rice Cocoons to the Proto-Amaurworm, you can rest again to pass the time. The Yaoguai will die and turn into the Elder Amaurworm spirit that you can equip. This spirit can increase your CRIT Rate when you’re in a poisoned state. You can also shapeshift into this Yaoguai to create a poisonous pool.
