In Baldurs Gate 3, the Rune of the Wolf is an item that can be found in the early stages of the game. If you obtain this item, you can get your hands on the treasure under Druid Grove. Of course, there is more than one way to do this: use trickery, use force, or be the good guy. Here’s everything you need to know about how to get Rune of the Wolf in Baldur’s Gate 3.
Where to Find Rune of the Wolf in Baldurs Gate 3
After creating your character and starting BG3, you will complete the game’s prologue on the ship. From there, you’ll wake up on the beach, and in a few minutes, you’ll witness Tieflings and Goblins fighting. After helping Tieflings, you’ll be granted entry from the gate, leading you to Druid Grove. You will use and find Baldurs Gate 3 Rune of the Wolf in this location.
Method #1: Rescue Halsin
When you come to Druid Grove, there are some problems between Tieflings and Druids. You can reach Baldurs Gate 3 Rune of the Wolf by force or by solving these problems. Rath will tell you about Halsin and that he is trapped in Goblin Camp—the first Druid of Druid Grove and the potential cure for your parasite.
If you agree to rescue Halsin from this Goblin Camp, you must kill the Goblin Leaders named Priestess Gut, Dror Ragzlin, and Minthara, and clear the entire camp. When you get Halsin out of captivity and return to Druid Camp, talk to Halsin and then Rath. Then Rath will give you the Rune of the Wolf item in Baldurs Gate 3 as a reward for saving Halsin.
Method #2: Pickpocket Rath
Method 2 is more logical than method 3 since it does not break the game or any storyline. If you have a character with great Stealth in your party, you can try to steal the Baldurs Gate 3 Rune of the Wolf from Rath’s pocket. Of course, before attempting this, get a quick save by pressing the “F5” key. This way, you can avoid unwanted accidents.
Method #3: Kill Rath
Method 3 is a bit for Dark Urge lovers. Of course, you can do this method without playing Dark Urge. But you should know that it will ruin the Droid Grove storyline. The choice is still up to you, and this is an option.
When you attack Rath, the whole Droid Grove will attack you, and you will have to fight a big battle. After Rath dies, you can get the Rune of the Wolf item from his corpse in BG3.
How To Use Rune of the Wolf
After talking to Nettie, she will take you to the Enclave Library. In the center of this room, you will see a Blue Wolf statue and sockets around it for placing runes. Place the Rune of the Wolf in the missing one of these sockets, and you will gain access to the treasure at the bottom of the Druid Grove in BG3.
