A must-have when exploring both enemy-infested zones and heavily radioactive areas in Fallout 4, is a given that your Power Armor will take a beating during your travels, especially in the later portions of the game. But luckily for all who —like me— find it vital to keep their gear pristine, the game allows you to repair it quickly and from the get-go. Here’s how to repair your Power Armor in Fallout 4.

You can repair your Power Armor in Fallout 4 by heading to any Power Armor Station while having all of the pieces you wish to repair either in your personal inventory or equipped in your armor. Once there, just do the following:

  • Select Craft while facing the Power Armor Station.
  • Head over to your selected piece.
  • Select Repair and then confirm your choice.

Before you ask, repairing your Power Armor is a duty that falls to you and you alone. This means that no NPCs will offer the service, no matter in which region you are. You will only be able to repair your armor if you have the necessary materials for the job, the latter of which can be acquired by looting corpses, exploring areas, and dismantling junk —a feat you can do by simply adding the items to your Workshop’s inventory. You can also purchase materials from vendors across the game’s many zones.

Where to Find a Power Armor Station Early On

Although you can find Power Armor Stations in all settlements, as well as in many other locations scattered across the now-desolated world, the first one you can find will be located in Red Rocket Garage. You can recognize the Power Armor Stations in Fallout 4 by their bright yellow painting. While at Red Rocket Garage, don’t forget to also interact with the Workshop table so that you can start customizing your first settlement.

Can You Charge Fusion Cores in Fallout 4?

Unfortunately, given how its Fusion Core can be seen as the heart of any Power Armor, it is not possible to charge/recharge them in Fallout 4. You can however increase the lifetime of any Fusion Cores you equip by collecting the Repair bobblehead. The bobblehead can be found at the Corvega Assembly Plant.

If you don’t mind using it, Bbaronx’s Rechargeable Fusion Cores mod will allow you to use a Fusion Recharging Station to bring dead cores back to life.

You can play Fallout 4 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
