To get it, you’ll need to perform two runs and fulfill a bunch of conditions, which can take quite a while. Below, we’ve described each of the conditions and the steps you need to take.
Risk of Rain Returns: How to Get Robomando Secret Character
As we mentioned above, to get Robomando, you will have to perform two runs, each of which will have specific conditions. This will take quite a bit of time and effort, so be well-prepared before you start the task.
1. Find the Rift Chest
So, before you start the race, you will first need to select the Drizzle Difficulty, which is a prerequisite. When you do, choose your favorite character and start the game. Then, follow the instructions below:
- Play as usual until you reach stage 5 (Temple of the Elders).
- When you reach this stage, move to the left side of the map, where you will find a large building.
- Go around this building on the left side and go down to the facade to find the clay pot. To get there, you’ll need a character with good mobility (Loader) or an item like Hopoo Feather.
- Break the pot by interacting with it to get the Strange Battery.
- After doing so, continue playing until you reach the last stage.
- After reaching the last stage, move to the right corner of the map where you can find a gap, and to the left of it a cave where you will see several NPCs dancing next to a boombox.
- Pay attention to the NPC to the left, there will be a notch in the wall above his head, climb up there to get to the secret passage.
- Go through this passage and then move towards the left, and soon you will notice the Rift Chest.
- Interact with the Rift Chest to place the Strange Battery inside.
Once you do, complete the current run, but don’t quit to save your progress. Now you’ll need to start a new run to continue.
2. Find a Robot
As in the first case, you will need to select a specific difficulty level, and now it should be Rainstorm or Monsoon. Once you’ve done that, select your preferred character, start the run, and follow the instructions below:
- Play the game as usual until you reach stage 2.
- When you reach stage 2, carefully explore the entire map, as a Rift Chest should randomly spawn somewhere.
- Once you find the Rift Chest, interact with it to get the Strange Battery.
- Now, continue playing until you reach stage 3 and defeat the boss. After that, you can interact with the red teleporter.
- Interact with the red teleporter when the clock reaches exactly 22:00.
- Next, on stage 4, you’ll need to find a small robot that spawns in a room underground.
- It’s not difficult to find it, the main landmark will be the green arrow above its head.
- When you find the robot, interact with it to insert the Strange Battery.
- This will activate the robot, and it will attack you, but don’t attack it back.
- To achieve the objective, let the robot kill you.
