You can get Nodes by using the Apex Legends Node Tracker. However, you can earn these Nodes only in a normal game of Battle Royale. It will not work on Ranked play, but it does in Duos and Trios.

Once you have started a game, you will notice the Node Tracker is in your inventory. You can use this item to detect and locate Nodes scattered across the map. It is simple to use this tracker. Once you get it on hand, you have to look where the bars of the Node Tracker are pointing. Turn and move toward the direction of the bars to find the Node. The beep sound of the tracker will increase in intensity as you get closer to the Node.

Once you get close enough to the Node, you will see a blue-colored turquoise circular area. Once you enter that area, your Node Tracker will start hacking the Node. The device screen turns red, noticing uploading. Once completed, the Node will appear, and you will get a reward notification.

However, you will not collect Compute Nodes currency until the end of the game. At the end of the game, you will see all Nodes collected during the game on the seasonal tab. You can buy free rewards from the event shop with these Nodes, such as Banner Frames.

Also, remember the amount of Nodes you can collect is limited. You can collect Nodes only once per game and five times daily. So, you must wait for the next day once you have used all five attempts. Generally, you can collect around 4,500 Nodes daily, allowing you to buy around one item a day.
