Announcements can be dry, but not for the teaser trailer of Invincible season 2, which had a meta way of delivering its late 2023 release window (seen below). We got a fun clip that stayed true to the characters and world while giving some crucial information for eager fans wanting the return of the animated superhero series.
The clip shows Mark (Steven Yeun) and Allen (Seth Rogan) eating at the fast food restaurant that Mark works at, Burger Mart. Allen eats his burger while giving his thoughts about Mark’s cooking, calling him “Earth’s best food cooking man,” even though, as Mark explains, he did not make the burger.
The conversation shifts to give us what we want: the Invincible season 2 release window for late 2023. Allen starts to press Mark for the goods. Animation is difficult work, so Mark breaks it down for Allen and viewers all that needs to be done. It is why we have such a long wait until later this year. By the time it lands on Amazon Prime Video, it will be over two years since the 2021 debut of the first season.

The series is an adaption of Robert Kirkman’s comics, who co-created the adaption with Ryan Ottley and Cory Walker. The series follows Mark as he learns to become a superhero, like his father (J.K. Simmons), the most powerful hero on the planet. As the plot unfolds, the son learns some dark secrets about his father.
The adaption was divisive when it came to its animation style, but from its plot to its star-studded cast, it won people over. Yeun and Simmons were joined by Sandra Oh, Zazie Beetz, Walton Goggins, Zachary Quinto, Gillian Jacobs, and Jason Mantzoukas.
Invincible season 2 will come later this year. To prepare, you can watch the eight-episode first season.
