Developer Team17 are turning up the tunes for their upcoming Killer Frequency game. Initially announced as a VR title, Killer Frequency will additionally be ported onto the main console platforms this June. The interactive dark comedy game will sit players at a radio station where a mysterious killer is on the loose. It’s also set in the 1980s, so get ready for some nostalgic waves to come on through. Killer Frequency Lines Up for the PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Worlds for Investigation
There’s a vicious killer lurking within the shadows of Gallows Creek, and the common folk is being terrorized. For solace, the people tune into “The Scream” at night, a late-night radio show that aims to bring down the suspect in question. The host, Forrest Nash, kicks up the blue moods with some groovy tunes as he speaks with multiple listeners, hearing in on anything suspicious.
Team17 originally had VR plans for their Killer Frequency title, with the Meta Quest 2 and PC VR versions already in play. As time progressed, the popularity of Forrest Nash grew. Now, the developer is releasing the title on the PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch platforms. It’ll be optimized via a flat-screen mode, but now more players will have access to the experience.
