It seems like more games as of late are delving into modern or close-to-modern times. We’re getting plenty of realistic military shooters, along with the imminent release of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. All of these are taking gritty approaches to their time periods, but few are taking a satirical or humorous approach. Who doesn’t love some good satire now and then? For those into that, today’s release has just the thing for you. Kosmokrats is now available on PC through Steam, giving you a taste of the Soviet Union with its own satirical charm. You can check out the glorious launch trailer below.
Kosmokrats puts you into an alternate history where the Soviet Union has properly conquered space before America. As an elite pilot in their newest Space Force, it’s up to you to assemble spaceships in orbit using the tools at your disposal. It’s up to you, little space pilot, to make a glorious fleet for the Soviet Union, but be cautious. While you can’t lose the game, your failures will shape the future of the glorious nation. How will you manage to shape the Space Force?
For those interested, Kosmokrats is available for $14.99 on Steam and the Humble Store. Those who purchase the game in the first week though can pick up the game for 10% off. Not bad for a few Soviet space adventures if you ask me.
Kosmokrats is developed by Pixel Delusion and published by Modern Wolf. You may know the latter from publishing titles such as Necronator: Dead Wrong, Ostranauts, or the upcoming Skeleton Crew. Each of their games has its share of charm and humor, which you don’t want to pass up. Clearly, Kosmokrats is no different.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have Soviet space plans to foil.
