Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’s second wave of DLC is coming on August 4th, repping 8 new courses. A new trailer just came out on Nintendo’s YouTube page, which shows everything in detail.
The upcoming courses are Sky-high Sundae (brand new course), Kalimari Desert (Nintendo 64), Mario Circuit 3 (SNES), Mushroom Gorge (Wii), Sydney Sprint (Mario Kart Tour), Waluigi Pinball (Nintendo DS), Snow Land (GBA), and New York Minute (Mario Kart Tour).
Rumors were going around that the second wave of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was going to be revealed sometime soon. Especially when one fan found a certain date being advertised on a Mario Kart 8 poster in 7-11, he took to Twitter and shared his finding.
7-11 is advertising the course pack (note that it says you double the number of courses in Japanese, nothing about wave 2). I think we should see a reveal sooner than later. pic.twitter.com/qpRtTBiUdp

And the leak wasn’t far off because, at the time of writing, the second wave of DLC for the game should be available by next week.
With the last batch of DLCs, players got the Golden Dash and Lucky Cat Cups with courses such as Choco Mountain, Sky Garden, and the slightly divisive Coconut Mall. Fans were not pleased with the last track, saying the iconic course had not been a faithful recreation, as it differed in a few ways from the one in Mario Kart Wii.
Getting The New Tracks
If you are a subscriber of Nintendo Online or the Expansion Pack, you will get the second wave for “free.” But if you are not, you can still buy the Booster Pack from the Nintendo Store separately; it will cost you $25 to get the pack, though.
Once all 6 waves are finally complete, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will end up having a whopping total of 48 tracks in the game. Inarguably the best party game ever made, no matter how many tracks it has, they will never be enough. No Mario Kart 8 Deluxe fan would say no to more courses. Especially those making a return from older games in the franchise.
