When a Maryland woman found out a local dog was desecrating her garden, she had to say something. She decided to confront her neighbor about the dog peeing on her onions so she could put a stop to it once and for all.
Tayla (@taylarraee) discovered that her neighbor’s dog was wandering into her garden on multiple occasions. When he peed on her green onions and she caught him in the act, she decided to finally speak up. In a recent video, she recorded her conversation with the neighbor, asking him what he was “going to do” about his dog. She tells him to “go up to the Dollar Store” and buy a leash so he can keep his dog with him.
The neighbor tries to assure her, “Honestly, I always watch them.” Tayla tells him she doesn’t care and that “it’s not enough.” She tells her neighbors this isn’t the first time they caught the dog peeing on her garden. To really drive the point home, she gestures at them and says, “You’re a bad owner and you’re a bad neighbor.” When the neighbor tries to say their dog doesn’t do that, she says, “You’re not watching your dog!” She tells him there’s dog feces in her garden right now and he can go look if he doesn’t believe her. To this, she says, “You don’t have to argue with me, because you’re wrong.”
Eventually, Tayla tells her neighbor that her next steps will be calling animal control. She then adds that she’ll reach out to the HOA to let them know that his dog is “out here without a leash.” She tells him that she has multiple videos of his dog coming into her yard and peeing on her garden. Tayla adds that she just physically saw the dog pee on her green onions and she’s tired of it. She says, “Follow the law and the guidelines of the neighborhood” and instructs him to “go get a leash!”
Since then, Tayla posted multiple videos showing that the dog entered their yard unleashed to pee in her garden. This wasn’t a one-off occasion for him. Tayla also posted an update video showing that she put “Please keep off the grass” dog signs in her yard. She also said she’ll be calling animal control so that she can get some answers. Here’s to hoping Tayla’s garden stays dog-free from here on out!
The video immediately sparked attention from commenters, who came to share their opinions on this controversial confrontation. One commenter stated, “I’ve never seen such a perfect neighborly cuss out in my LIFE. You should offer this as a service for others.” One commenter quipped, “Them green onions were the last straw.”
The video also sparked reactions concerning taking ownership of your pets. As one pointed out, “The problem is he’s arguing instead of taking ownership.” Another commenter stated, “Because it could have been a ‘you’re right, I’m sorry. I’d be mad too. Won’t happen again’ but now we have to go to the next level.” Many commenters added that they’d feel the same way as Tayla. They urged her to take action for the sake of her garden and her happiness.
