Microsoft had a big step in the gaming industry and bought Activision. We know the company for Call of Duty and many other big hits we’ve seen in the past years. The first question that appeared on our minds was, will Microsoft make Call of Duty games Xbox Exclusive after the Activision acquisition? The company made a few announcements about this before, and they repeat; that CoD stays on PlayStation. There is a piece of new information about the game’s fate, and here are further precise details.

Microsoft’s Activision Acquisition Won’t Affect Call of Duty Games

We only knew Call of Duty’s future PlayStation releases were only a promise. But the new information claims Call of Duty should release on PlayStation in several years. According to The Verge, Sony has a guarantee from Microsoft for releasing the CoD games on PlayStation. Microsoft might change their mind in the future, but even if they do, that will be years later. If you’re considering the availability of CoD before buying a console, you can relax. Here’s the full announcement from Ryan:

“In January, we provided a signed agreement to Sony to guarantee Call of Duty on PlayStation, with feature and content parity, for at least several more years beyond the current Sony contract. This offer goes well beyond typical gaming industry agreements.”

Microsoft’s Activision Acquisition Won’t Affect Call of Duty Games

The acquisition isn’t completed; the estimates say the deal will be completed in June 2023. Activision Blizzard is still working with their management. After the acquisition’s complete, We expect significant changes in the company; there is much shameful news we hear from the company.

PlayStation is one of the big stations CoD were released; it would make gamers mad if Microsoft said something else. But we can’t know everything will be equal; Xbox gamers might get extras with the purchase or other benefits. Also, we can expect Call of Duty games on Game Pass. This is just an estimation; we hope to see a good experience on both platforms.
