According to Nida, the customer never confronted her directly at first. Instead, she allegedly complained to one of Nida’s coworkers, claiming the necklace was offensive and accusing Nida of calling for the death of Jewish people. The customer also allegedly said Nida should lose her job over the necklace.
After hearing about the complaint, Nida approached the customer herself. During the conversation, the customer allegedly repeated her accusations, claiming the necklace represented hate against Jewish people.
