A New Jersey woman claims she has been stalked and harassed by somebody on social media. They took things to a whole new level when they called a local hotel and asked the hotel to put a sign out targeting this TikToker. In her recent video, she confronted hotel workers about the sign, demanding they remove it from their property.
Megan (@sorrynotsry4200) saw something shocking at a Wyndham Hotels & Resorts in her area. Outside, they wrote, “Please pray for Megan Brown and family in time of need” on their sign. Recognizing her name, Megan was astounded. She knew that her online harasser called the hotel and asked them to put the sign up on her family’s behalf to harass her. So, she took matters into her own hands and demanded results from the hotel workers inside.
Megan records herself angrily confronting the worker at the front desk, who looks appalled by Megan’s straightforward way of confronting her. Megan demands, “My full legal name is on that sign.” She threatens them with police and tells them to bring out the manager of the hotel.
At this point, another worker comes to the front desk to speak with Megan. She tells Megan that they “put up” the sign today after receiving a call asking for it. Megan shouts at the worker, “My family does not need prayers from anybody in this town! I want my name off that sign.” The worker apologizes to her and explains that they received a call from somebody asking to put up the sign. The desk worker, as well as the man who physically put up the sign, look incredibly confused and flustered. However, the male worker tells her that he’ll “absolutely” take it down since she asked.
Megan explains to the workers that she understands they are “innocent parties” in all of this. However, she continues to tell them that she’s being harassed and she needs the sign to come down. In the end, the male worker completely understands and handles the situation with grace. He agrees to remove it from her after the confrontation.
Though commenters agreed that it was wrong of Megan’s harasser to do this, they also called her out for the way she handled the situation. One commenter stated, “Absolutely no reason to be yelling at them.” Another commenter mentioned, “That was a perfect example of how NOT to handle a situation.” She calls Megan’s reaction to the situation “unacceptable” and adds, “The irony is that they likely could have helped you find a resolution” if she acted with “grace, patience, and calmness.” Another commenter added, “I get that you’re mad but coming at that young lady the way you did is totally uncalled for.” Commenters continue to share their opinions about Megan’s situation on her video.
