The first smartphone game of the NieR series, NieR Reincarnation, is asking for more patience as the game’s release date is extended to the first half of 2021. Initially slated for release this year in Japan, the game will need more time for its upcoming launch. Although the Square Enix team didn’t really release an exact date of its launch this year, they already announced that the game would see the light of day within the first six months of 2021. This is not surprising as 2021 is already peeking over our window.
As we translate the tweet and the news on its official website, the Nier Reincarnation team apologizes for the delay. They did aim to release it before the year ends, but they are now projecting its release sometime in the first half of 2021. According to their official statement, most of the production up to the release version of Ver 1.0.0 are complete but will lack content after the service starts.
They are currently focusing on additional content and making the game more stable and optimized for smooth gameplay. The team added that they would keep the fans posted as soon as they already have an official launch date of the much-awaited addition to the NieR series.
What about NieR Reincarnation western release? We also checked the game’s official English Twitter handle, but there is no update at all. Their last tweet was on September 25, telling the western viewers that the pre-registration announcement during the Tokyo Game Show 2020 is only for Japan.
We did cover the Nier Reincarnation‘s western release announcement and shared the pre-registration bonuses in Japan. The most memorable of all the bonuses is the pure gold “Mama” that is said to cost around JPY 1,000,000 or around USD 9,480.
