An incident in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, has drawn attention online after footage surfaced showing an individual burning an LGBTQ+ pride flag.

One of the home’s residents, who is the owner of the flag, shared footage showing an individual approaching it. The person is then seen using a lighter to ignite it, with the flame spreading to the flag and causing it to fall. The video does not clearly show the individual leaving, and they appear to keep the lighter near the flag for the duration of the recording.

The owner of the flag provided an update in the comments, stating that they had already replaced the damaged pride flag with a new one. Police are treating the incident as vandalism and attempted arson, according to CrimeWatch. The suspect has not been identified based on the circulating video. Authorities and the property owner have encouraged members of the public with any relevant information or tips to come forward to assist with the investigation.
