Pokemon Go is currently hosting the Starry Skies event, where players have to choose between daytime or nighttime paths, and this brings more Cosmog spawning in the wild. Cosmog is a beautiful Psyhic-type Pokemon, which was introduced in Generation VII. This Pokemon will evolve into Cosemoem once at level 43 and then will evolve into either Solgaleo or Lunala at level 53. It is quite interesting that whatever game the Pokemon is in (Pokemon Sun, Ultra Sun, or Sword) will determine which final evolve it becomes. But the main question is, does Cosmon have a shiny variant in Pokemon Go?
Does Cosmon Have A Shiny Variant?
As stated above, Cosmog is a Psychic-type Legendary Pokemon. Cosmog is already a very beautiful Pokemon, but it is also special considering it evolves differently in different games, giving trainers an extra final evolution of Cosmog to collect. However, many are wondering, with this Pokemon becoming more available during the event on Pokemon Go, if it has a Shiny variant. Unfortunately, Cosmog does not have a Shiny variant in Pokemon Go.
This Legendary Pokemon is almost like a Mythical Pokemon when it comes to its status in Pokemon Go, as it normally takes a couple of years for those Pokemon to be added into the game. So players definitely shouldn’t expect to see a shiny variant for this Pokemon anytime soon in the near future sadly.

The Cosmog Pokemn was just added to Pokemon Go in 2022, meaning it hasn’t been long since it joined the Pokedex, to begin with. So far, there isn’t any word on if or when a Shiny could join the game. Honestly, the Cosmog and its variants are really interesting, considering how some players can be traded it, and depending on that will determine which evolution is received.
Needless to say, no, Cosmog does not have a Shiny for any of its evolutions in Pokemon Go, and it is not yet determined whatsoever when one might come about. This goes back all the way to Pokemon Sun, as Cosmog is also Shiny locked there as well. Be sure to hop into the latest Pokemon Go event Starry Skies, for a better chance at coming across this Legendary Pokemon in the wild.
Pokemon GO is available on iOS and Android.
