Togedemaru, a new Steel- and Electric-type from Alola, is making its debut in Pokémon GO and will be featured as a 1-Star Raid and Wild Encounter. This round, lovable Roly-Poly pocket monster has no evolutions, meaning that it will likely not be suitable for high-end Raids, Team Rocket encounters, or PvP Battle Leagues. On the other hand, PvP events with special criteria could be a situation where Togedemaru shines. Regardless, Pokémon collectors will undoubtedly appreciate having a new adorable electro mouse in their PokéDex. Catching Shiny Togedemaru In Pokémon GO
To catch Togedemaru in Pokémon GO, Trainers must participate in the aforementioned 1-Star Raids or randomly encounter the Steel- and Electric-type mouse in the wild. Unfortunately, it has been confirmed by Niantic that Togedemaru cannot be Shiny for the time being in Pokémon GO. Nevertheless, Perhaps during a Community Day in the future, players will be able to find one.

First, to catch Togedemaru as a Wild Encounter in Pokémon GO, players must be sure to go pocket-monster hunting in the AR realm from Friday, September 16, 2022, to Tuesday, September 27, 2022. During this period, Togedemaru will appear more frequently in the wild. Of course, there’s a chance the Roly-Poly Pokémon will spawn after these dates, but the encounter rate will be much lower. Although Togedemaru should not give Trainers too much trouble, they can feed it Nanab Berries or Razz Berries to ensure the Poké Ball catch has the highest chance of success in Pokémon GO. Curve throws will also increase the chances of capturing the pocket monster.
As for the Roly-Poly’s 1-Star Raid, Trainers will likely be able to solo Togedemaru in combat. As noted above, beating Togedemaru in a Raid will not enable it to be Shiny in Pokémon GO. Nonetheless, it might help lower-level players to know which Pokémon can counter this Raid Boss. As a Steel- and Electric-type pocket monster, Togedemaru is resistant to Normal-, Rock-, Bug-, Grass-, Electric-, Psychic-, Ice-, Dragon-, Fairy-, Flying-, Poison-, and Steel-type Moves. Conversely, Trainers are recommended to use Raid parties with Ground-, Fire-, and Fighting-type Movesets. Any Pokémon capable of dealing these three damage types will be effective against Togedemaru. Since the Raid Bass is a 1-Star, Legendaries, Shadow, or Mega counters will not be necessary for the fight.
Pokémon GO is available on iOS and Android.
