Police Threaten Georgia Influencer After He Calls 911 Over a Bad Haircut: ‘Sir This is Not a Crime Scene’

Wrong authorities, I guess

A livestream by 17-year-old Georgia-based Twitch streamer RaKai has gone viral after he called 911 to report what he described as a disastrous haircut. However, the police got frustrated over the influencer’s attempt to gain clout at their expense, prompting a stern warning about the misuse of emergency services, even threatening the influencer with jail time.

RaKai’s local police department called him live on stream to warn that he could face lifelong consequences if he ever calls 911 again to report his barber for messing up his haircut. pic.twitter.com/7CkZh1Voe9

The incident unfolded during a live broadcast on July 22, when the content creator expressed frustration after visiting a new barber. In a shared clip of the livestream, you could see RaKai’s hairline being misaligned following a recent haircut. Believing police could supposedly help him take legal action, RaKai contacted 911 and asked for assistance following what he considered a botched haircut.

Based on the clips widely shared across social media, the dispatcher questioned whether the call was genuine, asking if he needed police, firefighters, or medical assistance for the haircut. RaKai replied that he wanted to sue the barber. The officer then informed the teenager that civil disputes over services are not handled through emergency dispatch and advised him to contact the courthouse instead. The conversation ended abruptly, but police later called RaKai back while he was still livestreaming.

However, the police did a follow-up call, and this time the officer warned the streamer that improperly calling 911 could lead to legal consequences. “You know you’ll get in trouble for calling 911 and hanging up on them? You’re going to apologize to the officers when they get there? You’ll get in trouble, and I don’t want you to go to jail at 17 years old. You’re going to have a record that’s going to stay for the rest of your life. It’s not a good idea,” the officer said.

RaKai apologized right away

During the call, a visibly nervous RaKai quickly admitted his mistake, telling the officer that he mistakenly believed calling police was the proper way to begin legal action against the barber. The officer also added that police had RaKai’s address and that responding officers might still arrive despite his apology. “No, sir. I’m so sorry, sir. My barber, basically, my barber messed my haircut. I thought the only way I could sue him if I called the cops. I really apologize, sir. Everything is fine,” he said before the call ended.

Following the viral clips, social media users reacted with a mix of amusement and criticism. While many joked about calling emergency services over a haircut. “Bro called 911 over a haircut police really had to pull up like ‘sir this is not a crime scene,'” points out an X commenter. Another social media user joked, “His prison arc will fix him.”

Meanwhile, RaKai’s livestream shenanigans have also drawn backlash, with many questioning why he had so many viewers despite the nature of his content. “‘I very apologize’ how do people watch this [expletive] [expletive],” fumes one X user. “These creators are insane… They will do everything just to get more views…” according to a commenter who was likely starting to get fatigued from influencer content.
