Bankai is one of several types of powers you can unlock in Type Soul, but to take advantage of its abilities and element in Roblox, there’s an entire progression quest involved. It’s a long and difficult journey, and you’ll be expected to defeat a variety of enemies, from hollows to raid bosses. There’s even a puzzle halfway through the quest, but the final task is the hardest. In the end, your Bankai progression in Type Soul relies entirely on defeating your Bankai in a duel. Exciting!
Roblox Type Soul: Stage 1 Bankai Progression
The first stage of your Bankai progression is all about points. Specific content grants you varying amounts of points, and you’ll need 13 points altogether:
- Ranked Wins: Grant half a point.
- Raid Wins: Grants one point
- Clan War Wins: Grants two points
Ideally, you want to keep track of your points yourself, but if you forget, you can speak with dark-haired NPC V – Unequaled Unrivaled. He’s inside the massive, wooden shed on the other side of the bridge. When he says “Unequaled… Unrivaled… Go make me proud, lil bro,” then you’ve reached 13 points.
How you earn your 13 points is entirely up to you; however, I recommend just focusing on winning raids. They’re going to be the most beneficial since participating in raids is how you obtain the best accessories in Type Soul.
Raids are arguably the slowest option, though. There are two types: faction raids and KT raids (Karakura Town raids). Every 40 minutes, a server will host a faction raid; every hour a KT raid is hosted. You’ll be grouped with and against other players, so you won’t be alone. If your side is good enough, you could potentially complete it fast enough to join a KT raid after.
Roblox Type Soul: Stage 2 Bankai Progression
The second stage of Bankai progression is just as time-consuming as the first, except this time you’ll have a choice of which order to complete them in, although you’ll still have to complete all three tasks:
- Killing one of any of the world bosses
- x50 hollow kills
- x10 Quincy/Arrancar Elite Grips
Oh, and guess what? You have to complete all three without dying or else your progress is reset. Like before, it’s best to keep track of your accomplishments yourself, but if for whatever reason you aren’t sure of your progress, speak with your shikai. Their dialogue hints at your progress:
Dialogue | Meaning |
“[Raid Boss] no longer roams.” | You’ve successfully defeated a raid boss. |
“Those once pure have been guided to the afterlife.” | You’ve reached 50 hollow kills. |
“The fire of the rivals has extinguished.” | You’ve earned 10 Elite Grips. |
Once you’ve completed all three tasks, you can move to the second part of Bankai’s stage 2 progression. And you can breathe a sigh of relief because dying won’t reset your progress anymore.
Stage 2, Part 2 Bankai Progression
The focus this time isn’t on any bosses or killing but on a puzzle. In Karakura Town, speak with Kisuke Urahara in the park on the other side of the dark tunnels, just behind the spawn. He’ll want you to complete a mini-game involving swords. Here are the rules:
- The room is full of swords
- Only three swords are real
- You have a limited number of chances to guess which swords are real
- If your choice ends up being a fake sword, it’ll point towards a real one
It’s not particularly hard, but you do want to be choosy with which swords you pick. If you run out of chances, you’ll be kicked from the mini-game and won’t be able to play again for an hour. You can bypass the wait time if you grip an Arrancar or Quincy, though.
Roblox Type Soul: Stage 3 Bankai Progression
The last and final stage of Bankai progression in Roblox Type Soul involves meditation and a fight with yourself, sort of. You’ll have to focus up and defeat your Bankai in the Shikai Realm, and this can be rather difficult depending on the Bankai element. It’ll take on the form of the element you have and have those powers at its disposal.
To fight your Bankai in the Shikai Realm, simply meditate. After a few moments, you’ll teleport into the realm and come face-to-face with the boss. When you’re victorious, your Bankai will be unlocked. Unlike the mini-game with Kisuke Urahara, you can fight your Bankai immediately after if you fail. However, if you switch your element, you’ll need to defeat the Bankai again.
