Save Your Hourglasses Because Pokemon TCG Pocket Is Getting Its Mythical Island Booster Pack Soon

After a long period of just opening the same three booster packs (not that I’m complaining), Pokemon TCG Pocket has unveiled Mythical Island as its next themed booster pack. While there isn’t a full list of cards coming to this booster pack, the developer behind this mobile game has already unveiled a few of the cards we’ll see. Furthermore, there seem to be some great EX cards, which might shake the meta up, so it’s bound to be fun.

Oh hey, what's this? Let me go ahead and drop this here.

I kicked in a lot of doors to get this information to you.🦶🚪 (Realistically, I asked REALLY nice and cried a little)

BEHOLD! Mythical Island! ✨ 🏝️ pic.twitter.com/DpG2qWw24S

Before delving into what the teaser showed, Pokemon TCG Pocket is launching Mythical Island on December 17, 2024. Assuming this pack will work like the ones we already have, players will be able to open up to two packs a day or more if they have the Premium Pass. For those who have enough hourglasses, don’t spend them yet, as you’ll want to grab the new cards coming to Mythical Islands.

Of all those new cards, players quickly spotted a few new EX releases, like an EX Aerodactyl, which doesn’t allow players to evolve their active Pokemon. Another one is the new EX Mew card, which can copy an active Pokemon’s skill just by using three colorless energy. This will shake the meta up and might even counter some of the game’s strongest decks, such as the Dragonite one. Another one that seems quite strong is the new Vaporeon card that lets players move water energy from benched Pokemon to the active one as many times as they’d like.

Overall, this Mythical Island booster pack seems like a great first addition to Pokemon TCG Pocket and one that will lead to the creation of even better decks. Hopefully, we’ll get a full list of the upcoming cards, but if not, the wait won’t be long. So, start saving your hourglasses for December 17.
