Selling Sunset’s Maya Vander reached the end of her difficult journey to becoming a third-time mom as she and her husband, David Miller, welcome a new baby. The birth comes days after the reality star revealed her pregnancy for the first time, shocking millions of fans. She also expressed fears that she may not carry her pregnancy to term, as with previous ones. Months prior, Maya, who already shares two older kids with David, experienced some of the harshest moments of her life, losing at least two pregnancies.
Maya Vander and Her Husband Announce Baby’s Birth
On Thursday, May 11, a representative of Maya confirmed that the star successfully welcomed a baby with her husband, per People. They confirmed the sex of the newborn as female. Speaking to the outlet, Maya revealed she birthed her new daughter naturally through vaginal delivery following an induced labor at 37 weeks. According to her, the doctors had to induce her early as she previously experienced a stillbirth at 38 weeks.
After her stillbirth in December 2021 and a miscarriage that followed in June 2022, she could not take chances this time on. But welcoming her daughter did not exactly go without complications. She divulged:
“Her heartbeat dropped as I was pushing. It turned out that the cord was around the neck. It was scarier, given my recent loss. My husband was extremely worried, and I was focused on getting her out. My gyno, Dr. Senemar was amazing, as well as the nurses.”

In her Instagram post announcing her daughter’s arrival, Maya revealed the name of her new baby girl as Emma Reign, who is a welcome addition to her two kids, including 3-year-old daughter, Elle, and son, 4-year-old son, Aiden. The Selling Sunset star explained the symbolic reason behind the monicker, saying they liked the name Emma and deemed it the perfect choice because it sounded great with Aiden and Elle.
Having opted for a simple yet classy first name for the baby, Maya Vander and her husband decided to pair it with a strong middle name. She explained:
“As for Reign, she rules like a queen, and I love that it is a strong meaning. We felt Emma Reign was perfect for her.”
Indeed, Emma ushers in a new reign of joy and happiness for her parents after experiencing tragedies in their previous attempts at welcoming a third child.
