During Season 18 of Sister Wives, we’ve seen Kody Brown take a deep dive into why his relationship with Janelle Brown wasn’t working out. One of his claims was that Janelle was only interested in his body, saying in one episode,
“Janelle’s not in love with me, I think she thinks I’m hot. I got nice pecs and a great six-pack abs, but that’s all she’s interested in.”
Kody Brown Addressed His Assertion in the First Part of the Season 18 Tell-All
In Sister Wives’ latest episode, looking back at the season, Kody explains the reason he brought up Janelle Brown’s attraction to him in that confessional.
“You know, the great pecs and the six-pack abs is all about the fact that Janelle has always seen me as a physical specimen and as a resource and not ever really dove into my humanity,” he explained, agreeing that Janelle made him feel like a “physical boy toy” and like he was “just a piece of meat.”
Janelle Had a Hearty Laugh at the Idea She Was Only Ever Physically Into Kody
When the same scenes were mentioned to Janelle, she saw the whole thing a little differently. She had a good laugh as she asked host Sukanya Krishnan, “Could you believe that?”
“I was like … sorry. He didn’t know what he’s talking about,” she said, adding that she “didn’t care” what he thought. Janelle also noted, “There’s so much more to a marriage than that, right?”
Janelle also noted Kody Brown has been bringing up his pecs more frequently and seems a little obsessed.
“I’m like, ‘Hmm, I don’t know. You love your pecs so much now.’ And, like, they’re great but, like … it’s not what it’s about for me.”
