Baldur’s Gate 3 was the best and biggest surprise of last year. The details and freedom of choice in gameplay and narrative terms blew everyone’s minds. That kind of freedom is much more appreciated by fellow gamers who want to finish the game in the quickest way possible or simply speedrun it. Mae, who previously beat the game in under 30 minutes, has found another way to allow her to beat Baldur’s Gate 3 in under 20 minutes.
With the help of Gigantic Invisible Bear, Mae has Beaten Baldur’s Gate 3 in Under 20 Minutes
Speedrunners are in love with Baldur’s Gate 3 because of how many options are available they can try to find the fastest way to beat the game. Recently Mae who previously beat the game in under 30 minutes, has found a method to beat the game in just 19 minutes and 20 seconds.
In her previous speed run, she used leaping like a frog and stuffing Shadowheart’s corpse in a box to move and skip forward much faster. She used the same method alongside an invisible 11,000-pound bear that helped her with this new achievement.
In Baldur’s Gate 3 not only players can turn into different animals, but also use various spells to change different things. During the Act 2 boss fight with Katherine Thorm, Mae turns Shadowheart into a bear, uses the Feather Fall spell and then Enhance Leap, and lastly uses the Enlarging to make the bear as massive as possible.
The last bit of this strategy is to use a Potion of Invisibility so Shadowheart can move freely. In the end, Mae moved the bear to a high vantage point and leaped on top of the unsuspecting Katheric for 120 points of bludgeoning damage. It is truly a genius way to save a lot of time.
