In Sons of the Forest, there are different types of Armor to protect you in combat; sadly, many of them don’t have complete protection, like the Golden Armor. Other armors have a segmented protection bar. But the Golden Armor has several advantages: it lasts forever, doesn’t break or lose quality, and works as an outfit. This Armor reduces damage from demons and gives resistance against cannibals and other mutants. In addition, the Golden Armor opens the gate to the magma caverns. This is a unique item that you must get.
Sons of the Forest: Golden Armor Location
To get the Golden Armor, you must first prepare to travel southwest to the closest lake to the snow-capped mountains. But before embarking on your crusade, you must get the Rebreather to breathe underwater when diving. The Rebreather location is in a cave on a beach to the northwest. Once you have what you need, follow these steps to find the Golden Armor in Sons of the Forest:
- You can identify the cave because, at the entrance, there are two bodies, and between them is a book.
- Then, you must use your axe to break the wood blocking the entrance.
- Walk into the cave until you find water deep enough to start diving.
- Follow the cave for a long stretch until you find your way back to the surface.
- You will encounter a couple of enemies in the area, but you can continue straight ahead to a part where you can slide down. You will end up falling into the water, then dive back in.
- Look for the next area to breathe; several skeletons will hang from the ceiling, and you will encounter some enemies as you advance.
- The closer you get to the Armor, the more gold decorations will appear around the cave; follow them. There will be parts where you will have to swim and others where you will have to dive.
- You will reach a dead end, but there is a small cave beside it with several enemies.
- Continue walking following the golden trail until you reach a kind of golden altar where the Armor awaits.
The Golden Armor used to be in the same bunker, on a sofa, southeast of the map, the Sons of the Forest. In this previous location, players could also find the katana, but after an update, the developers decided to change the location of this Armor. Although many liked having more difficulty finding these objects, others preferred the one rock, two birds tactic.
