Last night, footage of an unannounced Star Wars RTS game leaked onto the internet. The footage features gameplay of ships like the Millennium Falcon and characters such as Luke Skywalker in huge battles on Tatooine.
Originally uploaded to Vimeo (which has since been removed), the footage was uploaded by someone claiming to be Elise Baldwin, an ex-EA audio director who worked on EA’s Sims series. She claims that she did some work on the Star Wars RTS game that the footage is of.

Even though it has been taken down off of Vimeo, you can find various copies of the footage on YouTube and other parts of the internet. The description of the video says the unannounced game was in development for over a year and changed platforms/engines a few times. It was to feature a simulation made and tactical combat mode. The footage shows off the tactical combat mode.
It might be that this game is canceled or became something else. Recently it was announced that Titanfall developer Respawn Entertainment was working on a Star Wars game. It is unlikely that this is that game. Another Battlefront to feature maps of the new movies is also rumored to be in the works, set to release next year. EA Games also recently announced that they plan on releasing one new Star Wars game a year for the next few years.
Battlefront has split fans and critics alike. Some were disappointed with the amount of content, just to have a $50 season pass. People are curious what the future of Star Wars games holds. This footage could still be a game in the works, thus it being quickly removed. Only time will tell, but expect more information on games in the franchise this E3 in June during the EA Games Press Conference.
