This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information.

Stone Fragments are some of the many materials you’ll need to upgrade your armaments in Tales of Arise. However, some quests also require this reagent. After returning to Ulzebek and completing the Bound and Determined mission in Tales of Arise, you can pick up the sub-quest, The Hunt for New Arms, outside the inn. This quest will task you with collecting three stone fragments. Since you’ll be needing them for more than one thing, it’s good to know where and how to get them, whether you are doing the sub-quest or trying to improve your arsenal. We hope you don’t mind slicing a few golems because you’ll be seeing a lot of these foes during the grind.

(Updated on July 26, 2024 – Fact-checked and clarified the process to obtain Stone Fragments).

Where to Find Stone Fragments in Tales of Arise

To find Stone Fragments in Tales of Arise, you must head to the Igila Wastes. You can get there by leaving Ulzebek through the Igila Wastes entrance or by fast traveling there by going to the fast travel marker in the northwest of the Wastes, by the entrance to the Fagan Ruins. I suggest fast traveling here as the source of Stone Fragments spawns very close to the fast travel point, making the process of obtaining them much faster.

Once you arrive at the Iglia Wastes outside the entrance to the Fagan Ruins, you will want to go to the crumbling pillars to the southeast. If you have traveled here before, you will just have to turn around, and they will be right there. Follow the dirt path until you see a Golem enemy. Fight and kill it. It will either drop a Stone Fragment or Strange Core. To farm this enemy, fast travel back to the point behind you or enter and leave the area. Basically, get to at least one loading screen and return to the area. The Golem will respawn, and you will be able to kill it again. Keep doing this until you get three Stone Fragments to complete the quest or as long as you like so that you can upgrade your characters’ weapons.
