The Sims 4 is having a very exciting month this March 2023. Not only will we be getting newly updated babies, but also some new expansion packs, and now, we have news that the game plans to add some even more exciting things with the new infant update. The new update many Sims fans have been waiting for is set to release on March 14th, and Maxis has revealed that it will be adding some new features in Create A Sim, like stretch marks, birthmarks, and cesarean scars.
The Sims 4 Is Becoming Even More Realistic
So far, there isn’t a full list from EA of all the new items yet, but there was a new trailer showing some of the upcoming features and customizations that we will soon be able to use from now on when we create a Sim. The new birth-marking feature has a number of options including size, placement, and color, and this will be available for all of the life stages for the Sims, including infants. Stretch marks will be another that has a range of different options to make your Sim look as realistic as possible as well as just make them unique. The stretch marks will only be available for teens and older Sims, while the cesarean scar is probably going to be more limited on which Sims you can put it on.
Something else that is exciting for The Sims is, the principal designer, Matthew Fahey, confirmed that birthmarks and any other body markings will be able to be stacked with tattoos, so there are hardly any limitations. The base game will get these new features in the update coming on March 14th, which is also two days before the new Growing Together expansion pack drops, which is paid DLC. This pack will come with many family dynamics and many added new features for families.
