This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

Powerful weapons will definitely help you in battle, but not when enemies get too close. In addition to attacking, you also need to take care of defense because you can’t go around with your initial spacesuit all the time. To help you improve your protection, we have created a list of the best spacesuits in Starfield. Throughout the game, you will have many opportunities to get a variety of armor with good characteristics, but not everyone knows which one to aim for, so here we are with our choice of 5 of the best ones.

Starfield: Best Spacesuits Guide

The game has over 50 spacesuits that you can find and use. Below, we will tell you about the best ones in our opinion.

5. Shocktroop Spacesuit

In the early stages of Starfield, you will have the opportunity to buy this spacesuit, and we highly recommend doing so until you find a better one. This suit stands out from most of the others you can get at the beginning with its high resistance stats, especially to extreme temperatures. The battles will be much easier, so you will have the opportunity to progress faster in the story and find even better pieces, which we have described below.

You can buy it by visiting New Atlantis. Not far from GalBank is the Outland Shop, go there to find a merchant from whom you can buy this spacesuit. And here you can see all the stats of the Shocktroop spacesuit:

PHYS 80
ENGY 84
EM 88
Mass 7.5
Corrosive 15
Radiation 15
Airborne 0
Thermal 30

4. Mark I Spacesuit

For the early and mid-game, this costume is the best choice. Good characteristics will help you survive in any battle, and if you put additional modifications, you can even make it into outstanding armor. The spacesuit will be very useful for your first playthrough of Red Mile, so don’t hesitate and make sure to equip it.

It is not difficult to get it, all you need to do is to visit The Lodge in New Atlantis. After going down and exploring the basement, you will be able to see the space suit in a glass case. If you want to see all the stats of this spacesuit, take a look at the table below:

PHYS 120
ENGY 136
EM 128
Mass 7.5
Corrosive 30
Radiation 10
Airborne 10
Thermal 20

3. Mantis Spacesuit

A good spacesuit that will work well for most of the game. It has good stats, but the only drawback is its low resistance to corrosion. Despite this, this gear is still one of the best in the game.

You can get it as part of the Mantis quest. You will have to visit Denebola I and go to the Lair of the Mantis. There will be several obstacles and a puzzle with a pressure plate on the way, so be careful. Now let’s take a look at all the stats of the Mantis spacesuit:

PHYS 116
ENGY 84
EM 100
Mass 16.2
Corrosive 0
Radiation 15
Airborne 30
Thermal 15

2. Bounty Hunter Spacesuit

It is one of the best spacesuits you can find in Starfield. It is ideal for completing the game to the end, thanks to its balanced stats. Bounty Hunter will be a good defense in almost any situation.

Just like in the previous case, you can find it on Denebola I in the Lair of the Mantis. Search the area carefully, as we are not sure if it has an exact location or if it is affected by RNG. And here you can see all the stats of the awesome spacesuit:

PHYS 128
ENGY 132
EM 136
Mass 20.9
Corrosive 15
Radiation 15
Airborne 15
Thermal 15

1. Starborn Spacesuits

When you complete the game, you will be able to get one of the best spacesuits in the game, namely the Starborn Astra. It has extremely powerful stats and also comes with a helmet and backpack. This spacesuit, as well as the Starborn Ship, will be available when you start New Game Plus. This option may not satisfy many players, as they will need to complete the game to get it, and not everyone wants to play the game twice just to get better equipment.

But if you are okay with this, we have even better news for you. You can start a New Game Plus many times and every time you do, you’ll get a new Starborn spacesuit that will be a head above the previous one. Of course, we could have created this top only from Starbon suits, but that would not be that useful. If you’re wondering what other Starbon spacesuits exist, here’s the full list:

  • Starborn Spacesuit Materia
  • Starborn Spacesuit Locus
  • Starborn Spacesuit Tenebris
  • Starborn Spacesuit Solis
  • Starborn Spacesuit Gravitas
  • Starborn Spacesuit Bellun
  • Starborn Spacesuit Tempus
  • Starborn Spacesuit Avitus
  • Starborn Spacesuit Venator

All of them were listed in the order of passing the New Game Plus, and only the most avid gamers will be able to get them all. Unless you use console commands, of course. Also, you can take a look at all the stats of the first suit on this list, namely Starborn Astra:

PHYS 149
ENGY 149
EM 149
Mass 17.4
Corrosive 50
Radiation 50
Airborne 50
Thermal 50

In addition, it will be endowed with unique perks, namely:

  • Sentinel: When you’re not on the move, hits do less damage.
  • Resource Hauler: The weight limit is increased.
  • Bolstering: The less health you have, the greater the resistance to damage.

Now you know about the best spacesuits in Starfield, so hopefully, we helped you pick the one that suits you best.
