Call of Duty: Warzone 2 Season 3 brought many new changes to the DMZ experience. One very important one is the addition of the different plate carriers, better known as vests, in the game. Each plate carrier gives you a certain advantage in this mode, and here we’ve provided the ultimate DMZ vest crafting guide for you! Building each vest requires certain materials, and you can see them all listed below.
DMZ Vest Crafting Guide: How Many Vests Are in The DMZ?
You can build or find up to 4 different plate carriers/vests in the DMZ mode:
- Comms Vest
- Stealth Vest
- Medic Vest
- Tempered Vest
These vests each come with unique perks and abilities that can enhance your game in the DMZ mode. However, you need some specific materials to create each one using the system for Vest Barter Recipes.
How To Create The Comms Vest in DMZ
- 1x Soothing Hand Cream
- 2x Batteries
- 2x Hard Drives
The Plate Comms Vest is one of the very useful plate carriers in the DMZ mode. This vest is radar-based, and you can use it to spot enemy operators. You can create this vest by finding all three packs of items above and using them in the Barter system, which is in the Buy Station’s menu. This vest is available to build in both Al-Mazrah and Ashika Island.
The required items for creating the Comms Vest are all available as ground loot in DMZ maps. But if you don’t want to do the extra looting steps, you can always head to Al-Mazrah, and kill the Pyro boss! The Pyro is usually in the U.S. Embassy in Al-Mazrah City or in the Al-Mazrah Airport on the south side of the map. You might have a chance of getting this vest by looting the Pyro.
How to Create The Stealth Vest in DMZ
- 1x Comic Book
- 1x Game Console
- 2x Electrical Components
You can only build the Stealth vest on the Al-Mazrah map. However, its usage is for those who want to counter the advantages of Comms Vest. This is actually the same as the Ghost perk in Warzone 2, which allows you to stay undetected by enemy UAVs.
As listed above, this DMZ vest crafting guide shows you the required materials to build this vest. Remember that the only way to obtain this plate vest is by creating it. However, you might also kill enemy players and pick this vest if they had it!
How to Create The Medic Vest in DMZ
- 1x Liquor
- 1x Watch
- 3x Bandages
The Medic Vest is a good one for team players. If you’re a DMZ player, then you’re probably familiar with how furious the enemy bots can get in this game mode. They just don’t stop, and you can not put that much movement on them to trick the AI. This means that they will probably knock you and your squadmates many times during a match. Now, do you want to be able to revive your teammates and even yourself faster? The Medic Vest is the answer.
You can see all the materials you need here in this DMZ vest crafting guide. You will find bandages and liquor in the hospitals on each DMZ map. And you can find a watch literally anywhere in Ashika Island or Al-Mazrah.
DMZ Vest Crafting Guide: How to Create The Tempered Vest
- 1x Classified Document
- 1x Sensitive Document
- 2x Documents
Now, this vest is exclusive to Ashika Island, and it’s suitable for players who want to save some extra armor. The Tempered Vest in the DMZ mode is exactly the same thing that you can find in Warzone 2 game modes as well. This allows you to carry only two plates while still having the maximum HP of three plates.
As you can see in this Warzone 2 DMZ vest crafting guide, you will need many documents to build this vest. The Classified and Sensitive documents can be found in the restricted zones and Strongholds. So if you have a key to a certain area or a toolbox in DMZ maps, it’s time to use them. And the simple documents can be found as ground loot within the game. Some enemy AI targets might drop these documents after you’ve taken them down.
