While the first phase of Season of Discovery in WoW Classic was great, many wonder when Phase 2 of SoD is coming to the game. Given how players were only able to reach level 25, many are eager to level up their characters further and find more useful runes to make fun builds. Since the game has shown its plans for the coming months, including the ones for the retail version, many gamers are sharpening their weapons, cooking some food, and assembling their guild mates for the next big adventure in Azeroth.

When Will WoW SoD Phase Launch?
The release date for SoD Phase 2 in WoW Classic was set for February 8, 2024. It brought with it a new level cap, allowing players to reach level 40, as well as new instanced content. Furthermore, mounts became available when players reached the max level of this phase. And for those interested in a new raid, Gnomeregan was the featured instance of Phase 2, which allowed a party of up to 10 players to delve into this iconic dungeon-turned-raid.
Another thing that was relevant during the release date of SoD Phase 2 in WoW Classic was the addition of new rune engravings. As you know, this is one of the newest systems in Season of Discovery, and players could find up to 6 to 7 new runes for each of the classes. Some of them are still relevant in some endgame builds, so it is worth going back for them regardless of the phase.
Overall, Season of Discovery feels like WoW Classic 2.0, which many were asking for. Hopefully, the developers will keep doing seasons like this one. With so many things to discover and fight, Azeroth feels newer than ever, even if we visited it decades ago.
