Doesn’t the gear you dyed in Baldur’s Gate 3 look very flashy and sleek? Baldur’s Gate 3 allows players who are unhappy with the dyed results of their gear to undo it. You can restore your gear to its undyed appearance by buying a Dye Remover. Luckily, this allows you to re-dye your gear with another color. Dye Remover is rarer than dye so knowing where to find it can be tricky. This guide will show you all about removing the dye on your gear in Baldur’s Gate 3.

How to Buy Dye Remover in Baldur’s Gate 3

You can buy Dye Removers from Arron in Druid Grove. Arron consistently sells Dye Remover that will remove all types of dyes. There are other vendors where you can find this item, but it may not always be in stock. You can tell if you see a small vial of dye that Dye Remover is in stock. However, since you can always find this item in Arron, you can go directly to him. Once you use a Dye Remover on your gear, your armor will return to its original color in BG3. Note that you don’t get the dye back once the dye is removed from the gear.

How to Dye Your Gear Again in Baldur’s Gate 3

After you remove the dye from your gear, you can dye it to another color again. It is possible to find dyes of all colors in Arron. You can also get a dye when you visit him for a Dye Remover in BG3. If you want shades in the rarest colors, you must progress through the game and unlock the vendors that sell them.

Once you buy the dye, double-click on it in your inventory. A small box will pop up where you need to place the gear you want to paint. Drag the gear piece into the box and click “Combine.” Then, you will have to dye your gear in the color of your choice. After that, equip the gear and see if it’s to your liking.

  • Drake General Dye (Gold)
  • Blue Dye
  • Pale Orange Dye
  • Muddy Red Dye
