Want to know where and how to catch a Red Snapper in Stardew Valley? There are plenty of fish in Stardew Valley, but some do appear in certain conditions. Although the Red Snapper is an easy-to-catch and common fish, you may not always find it everywhere. What you really need is information on the spawn criteria. Luckily, we’re here to show you where and how to catch Red Snapper in Stardew Valley.

Whether you want to catch Red Snapper for Community Center or for farming, it is possible to find this fish under certain conditions. While it’s not the rarest and most expensive fish in the game, it will help you spare some gold. You can go to the beach south of Pelican Town to catch the Red Snapper. You can catch Red Snapper on the shores near Willy’s Fish Shop and Elliot’s house. You can catch a Red Snapper anywhere on the beach, but only in some cases.

To catch a Red Snapper in Stardew Valley, you have to meet the following conditions:

Season

Red Snappers only spawn during Summer and Fall. If you’re in Spring or Winter, you won’t be able to get a Red Snapper. Red Snappers like hot climates, so you won’t get them in the cold.

Hour

Unlike some fish, Red Snappers do not have a very narrow time frame to be caught. You can fish them from 6 am to 7 pm of in-game time. After 7 pm, these fish withdraw to their burrows and are not seen in the sea. So if you want plenty of these fish, run to the beach as soon as you get up in the morning.

Weather

Finally, to catch a Red Snapper, another thing you need to be careful about is the rainy weather. This is actually the ultimate factor because the weather is not always rainy. The reason there are no Red Snappers in the winter is that it doesn’t actually rain at all. However, you can make it rain in all seasons by crafting a Rain Totem. To do so, you’ll need to be at Foraging Level 9 and need 1x Hardwood, 1x Truffle Oil, and 5x Pine Tar. It rains the day after activating the totem.

This should give you everything you need to do to catch Red Snapper in Stardew Valley. After catching this fish, you can drop it among the fish needed to restore the Fish Tank in the Community Center, or you can gift it to someone if you don’t want to use it.
