Want to know where to find Avalanche TM in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet? The Paldea region is full of powerful TMs, but if you’re looking for a move for your Ice-type Pokémon, Avalanche TM might be the one for you. With 60 Power and 100 Accuracy, Avalanche TM is not the most powerful move. But the additional effect of “doubling damage if the target has already taken damage in the same turn” makes Avalanche a good choice for fast Pokémon and a nightmare for Grass, Ground, Flying, and Dragon-type Pokémon. And our guide is here to help you and tell you where to find Avalanche TM in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
Where to Find Avalanche TM in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
First of all, it is worth noting that you can get Avalanche TM in two ways:
- Find in the open world.
- Craft on TM Machine.
If you are not very far along in the story, the best option is to find Avalanche TM in the open world. Unlike many other TMs, you don’t have to use the additional skills of your Koraidon or Miraidon. There are two free points with Avalanche TM, which you can get at almost any stage of your playthrough. Therefore, to find Avalanche TM in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you must visit the following locations:
- To find the first Avalanche TM, head to East Province (Area Three) and then visit the Tagtree Thicket forest. Go northeast along the ice mountains and cross the wooden bridge. Keep going straight until you see a yellow Avalanche TM Pokeball near the rock.
- The second Avalanche TM is slightly west of the previous one. Travel to West Province (Area Three) and head east to Dalizapa Passage. Go around the rock to your right and look for the second Poké Ball with Avalanche TM in the grass.
