Where to Find Sulfur in New World
While getting Sulfur is pretty easy, it’s a multi-step process, so let’s get started. First, you must unlock the Brimstone Sands biome, and for that, you must complete the following quests:
- A Selfless Nature. Your character must reach level 35 in Edengrove to complete this quest.
- Strider of the Sands. You can complete this quest if you reach level 60 and visit the following locations depending on your faction: Shattered Moutain: Syndicate; Ebonscale Reach: Marauder; Great Cleave: Covenant.
Once you’ve completed the prerequisites, you’ll unlock access to the Brimstone Sands Biome and be able to find Sulfur in New World. Now you can proceed to the second stage and look for and mine Brimstone in the biome. This item is available at the following points on the map:
- Shrine of War
- Mercurial Shrine
- Wurmsign Obelisk

In addition, your Mining level must be 130 or higher to be able to mine Brimstone. For each broken Brimstone, you will receive Suflur Chunks, and you should save up more before moving on to the third stage.
Once you’ve accumulated a lot of Sulfur Chunks, head to any major city and find a Smelter of at least level three. By the way, your Smelting level must be 60 or higher. Once you meet the requirements, take one Flux for every five Sulflur chunks to make Sulfur. We advise you to immediately accumulate more consumables to craft as much Sulfur as you need.
