Korilla Hearthflame is a Dwarf who works for Raphael in Baldur’s Gate 3. However, some players might actually encounter her sooner when choosing specific actions. She is the sister of Hope, who is another NPC you meet in Save Hope Quest, and this is when Korilla often appears. Not to mention, she will be fighting by the side of Raphael in Act 3. For those confused about how to interact with her, here we’ll explain everything you need to know for the best outcome.
How To Get Saved by Korilla in BG3
In Act One, you will find Gut once you enter Shattered Sanctum. Gut will ask you to drink the sleeping portion. Once drunk, you will fall asleep and wake up as a captive. After some time of questioning, she will try to kill you, and this is the moment Korilla appears and kills Gut to save you.
However, some players might not get to sleep after they drink the portion. The reason for this is some races are immune to sleep portions. If your character is Elf, Drow, or Half-Elf, you will not fall asleep. In that case, Gut will instantly start fighting with you, and you will not get the option to be saved by Korilla. Therefore, if you want to be saved by Korilla, ensure your character in BG3 is not immune to sleep.
Can You Save Korilla During Raphael’s Fight in BG3?
Yes, you can save Korilla during Raphael’s fight. Even though Raphel’s fight is more extended, Korilla has a low level of HP, and you can quickly kill her. However, if you wish to save her, you can knock her down with a non-lethal attack.
However, killing Korilla in BG3 or saving her does not impact the results other than changing some dialogues with Hope since she will be upset if you kill Korilla.
Where To Find Korilla
Korilla is found in various game locations during the game storyline in BG3. If you missed being saved by her from Gut in Act One, you might see her at the campsite during the Save the Refugee quest and on many other occasions. However, you will first meet her Sharess’ Caress, who tells you Raphael will expect you and her there. Then, you will again meet her at the House of Hope and during Raphael’s fight.
Considering the overall appearance of Korilla in the game, we found that she does not impact much on the overall gameplay other than changing some cut scenes and dialogues. However, if you enjoy the game’s storyline of Baldur’s Gate 3, meeting and interacting with Korilla can add more immersion to your gameplay. Overall, while not crucial to the main storyline, getting to know Korilla can enhance your gaming experience in BG3. Of course, you can not romance with Korilla since she is not your companion.
