Flooded Forest, similar to Sandy Plains, is one of the returning maps from Monster Hunter Tri in Monster Hunter Rise, but unlike in older games now there is a Sub-camp system. New to Monster Hunter World and Monster Hunter Rise, as its name suggests Sub-camps are additional camps in hunting areas that let you restock items and even grab meals in the middle of a hunt. You can also fast-travel to any of the Sub-camp to make chasing monsters or finding specific items faster.
But before you can utilize these convenient camps, you must first find their locations and do some chores to unlock them. In total, including the Main Camp (which is unlocked instantly together with the hunting map), there is only one camp in Flooded Forest. Let’s see where it’s hiding as well as how to unlock them.
Monster Hunter Rise Flooded Forest Sub-Camp Locations
Sub-Camp 1
Like Shrine Ruins, there is only one sub-camp for Flooded Forest. It also starts you off from the west side of the map instead of from the bottom/south. To locate Sub-camp 1, simply go straight to the northeast, on a small cliff in Area 11. The camp is hidden inside a small cave. And if you climb the cave, on top you can find a Shining Rhino, Pitcher Cluster, a Spiribirds grass patch, and a Boulder Lizard. If you go inside, there’s also a single Mining Spot in the other cave entry. To unlock the camp, once you spot the camp location, you need to go back to Kamura Village and talk to Kagero the Merchant then do the Flooded Forest Sub-camp Security request:
- Slay 8 Wroggi in Flooded Forest area.
