Palia has a large number of different activities that you can do in your free time from quests. Moreover, you will need many of them to complete tasks, although sometimes it may not be obvious, for example with Mystery Cargo. And, of course, these activities will help you earn Gold yourself by creating or selling various items and products, such as fish. But first, you need to learn how to fish and level up this Skill in Palia.
Palia Fishing Guide
First of all, Palia is a life sim, so it must have Fishing since this activity is one of the main ones for the genre. Nevertheless, the developers made it fun and, most importantly, useful. But first, you have to unlock it.
To do this, you have to complete story quests until you receive a letter from Einar. He is the best fisherman in Palia, so he will give you your first Fishing Rod. After that, you need to visit him in Fisherman’s Lagoon and learn how to Fish.
How To Fish in Palia
Fishing in Palia is very easy. After receiving a fishing rod, you need to find any body of water to start fishing:
- Left click to cast the line.
- Wait for the fish to pull on the hook and pull the bobber under the water. Be careful as you won’t catch a fish if you hook it too early.
- Then you need to hold the left click to pull the line.
- The fish will try to escape by swimming from side to side. Therefore, you must move the mouse so the fish is always between the green brackets.
- But since it costs your Fishing Rod’s health, you won’t be able to catch any fish with a starting Rod in Palia.
- It is also worth noting that you will need special Bait for some fish.
How to Level up Fishing Skill in Palia
As with other Palia skills, Fishing will level up when you get XP. To do this, you will have to fish a lot. You can also complete quests for Einar to further improve your Fishing skill. However, to catch rare fish species, you still have to craft new rods and buy suitable bait.
