There are some people who don’t like seeing others happy, especially if they have something against them. An example of that happened in Wisconsin after a kind man shared a story about a home bakery near his home. The place, called Coqui Café, is a Puerto Rican home bakery/café that he used to buy food from. This stopped when a racist neighbor kept calling the police on them, which made them no longer able to keep cooking and selling from home. The man talked to the owners after this heartbreaking event and they shared with him that they wanted to open a proper café. This was when he decided to help.

GFM on my profile! Coqui Cafe, a Puerto Rican home bakery in Green Bay is phenomenal both in terms of taste and prices, but unfortunately they can no longer sell their food because a neighbor continuously calls the police on them. Speaking of doing something with the platform you have, can we make a difference in their lives?? Their food is amazing and they deserve to have their dreams come true. Their cash is CoquiCafe2025 Plus Im not gunna lie, I reaaaalllly want a Quesito 😭 #puertoricanfood #supportsmallbusiness #Foodie #greenbay #badneighbors

The kindhearted man decided to use his platform for good and help the Wisconsin-based home bakery. He shared the owners’ Cash App so people could send money there. He even showed some pictures of their food to show how good it was. Not only that, but he also sent the owners the money he planned to spend on their food before he discovered that they could no longer sell it. Since the video went viral, the owners ended up creating a GoFundMe which their neighbor shared as well. They currently raised $19,730 out of $20K.

“Hello! I wanted to share something close to my heart. My daughter has faced incredible challenges with her health, but her passion for coffee and desserts has kept her spirit alive. We’re working towards opening Coqui Café to share our Puerto Rican heritage with the community, and your support could make all the difference. Please consider donating or sharing our campaign. Thank you so much!” was the fundraiser’s description.

What the man did didn’t just help the cafe owners, but it helped him too. He shared a heartwarming video showing that while people were helping the owners, they also helped him by being kind to him. Unfortunately, he was recently struggling with his mental health. Ever since he shared the video, he received an amount of love that he hadn’t received in a long time. This is what community is for! The cafe owners also shared their own update where they were thanking people for all the support. At the end of their message, they wrote Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl message. “The only thing that is more powerful than hate, is love.” That is definitely true.

People Reacting to the Wisconsin Man Helping the Puerto Rican Home Bakery

A lot of people loved what the man from Wisconsin did for the Puerto Rican home bakery. The fact that he wanted to help them showed how kindhearted he was. This is why one person commented on his pronunciation and also said, “You pronounced empanadilla perfectly. You are a great neighbor. Thank you for helping them.” Another person jokingly wrote, “Youre a good man, you deserve a latina.” Someone else said, “This. This is someone who actually deserves to go viral. For this reason. You’re a good human, sir.” It even turned out that the home bakery owners were used to doing good on their own as one person shared, “they worked with us for a community event and helped us feed almost 500 hungry friends in the community in December!”

More people showed their support to the Puerto Rican cafe as one person said, “If they need a commercial kitchen with full licensing and already equipped I have a spot for them! I’m located in downtown Green Bay. No rent needed just pay some utilities..” Another person wrote, “Im sorry this is Green Bay‼?? I’m in appleton, but I gotta get a hold of them. We have a venue (Velvet Fox) and I’ve been thinking about doing a food fair to showcase Latin countries and their cuisines. I am white so I do not want to do much more than gift the space and assist with marketing and whatnot. I want to partner with local folks. And this is why oppressors never win. They would give up so they dont understand why we wont.” We need more people like this.
