A woman in California found herself in a frustrating situation as she was being harassed by a deranged man. For some reason, the man was sitting right beside her at an establishment, totally uninvited. Rather than leave her alone upon her request, he instead asked for her number. The answer he then received wasn’t to his liking.
She did respond to him, but it was not the answer he was hoping for. With his phone held out in his hand, he expected her to type in her number right there. Instead, she calmly entered 911. Even then, he failed to understand. He stared at her, confused, and asked for her number again. That was when she informed him she had already given it to him. Still refusing to take the hint, he deleted the 911 and asked her to put in her actual number.
So she entered 911 again. That finally seemed to get the message across, because he stood up and left.
It turned out that this wasn’t the only time this man in California harassed the woman. He was harassing her even before asking for her number. Another video was taken on the same night and at the same place while he was still sitting next to her. This time, though, he was showing her pictures of himself. He then played a video to show her his muscles. After that, he said something that didn’t quite sound like English. A third video showed him standing in front of her and flexing his muscles. The woman couldn’t help but tell him, “You look like a [expletive] nightmare.” After flexing his muscles one more time, he finally ended up leaving the place.
People Reacting to the Deranged California Man’s Behavior
People absolutely loved how the woman in California responded. Since she wrote 911 instead of her number, one woman wrote, “I would’ve clicked the call button.” That made another one reply, “& soon as they answer I would scream HELPPPPPP in the background.” A third woman commented on how the man looked annoyed following this even though he was the one harassing the woman. “The audacity to be annoyed with YOU,” she wrote. One person even joked, “he’s thinking that number look familiar though.” It’s a good thing he was smart enough to recognize it.
To top it all off, the man eventually came across the videos the woman had shared. He clearly was not pleased about being posted online or about the wave of people making fun of him. That likely prompted his comment, “I don’t think it’s funny.”
His response only fueled the reactions, with even more people piling on. Meanwhile, another woman предложed a different tactic for handling situations like that, writing, “Imma learn my local animal control services #.”
Plenty of women also embraced the 911 strategy and said they planned to use it themselves. As one put it, “Thanks for the grand idea love it.”
If it helps them stay safe, that is ultimately what counts.
