Louisiana Strategist James Carville Sparks Debate After ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome’ Remark, ‘TDS Should Be Diagnosable’

That’s insane that he actually said it

Louisiana Democratic strategist James Carville is going viral after a video surfaced of him delivering a heated message directed at Donald Trump.

In the clip, Carville appears visibly frustrated as he addresses Trump directly, insisting that he listen to what he has to say because, according to him, many people feel the same way. The message also included strong language, which quickly drew attention online and sparked debate across social media platforms.

🚨 WTF?! Dem strategist James Carville has JAW-DROPPING meltdown on President Trump

"Look, you fat f*ck Trump! If you listen to this, you listen good! You hear me, you fat a**hole! […] We want to hate the son of a b*tch so much we can't SEE STRAIGHT!" pic.twitter.com/58LRZRuM3Q…

The video drew even more attention because of the remarks Carville made during the message. At one point, he said, “You right, I got Trump Derangement Syndrome.” He then added, “I hate the [expletive].”

Carville continued by saying that he had no interest in changing that feeling. Instead, he said he wanted it to intensify. “I wanna hate him more,” he added.

Later in the clip, he used exaggerated language while addressing his frustration. He said, “I pray to God in heaven: God, reign the righteous reign of Trump Derangement Syndrome on me. Pray for me, Lord. I’m your vessel on this earth. Pray for the people that listen to this. We want more. We want to hate the son of a [expletive] so much that we can’t see straight.”

The comments quickly circulated online, with viewers reacting strongly to the tone and language used in the video.

People Reacting to the Louisiana Democratic Strategist’s Meltdown

Many viewers said they were surprised by the intensity of the remarks made by the Louisiana Democratic strategist. Some focused on his admission that he has “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

“TDS needs to be a diagnosable disorder at this point,” one person wrote. Another commenter replied, “It has to be treated in a mental asylum.”

Not everyone viewed the situation the same way, however. Some defended Carville’s frustration and argued that strong reactions to Trump are understandable. One person wrote, “Having a President in the Oval Office who previously ate a cheeseburger and watched the news for three hours while rioters defecated on the Capitol Rotunda will do that to a person. It’s unacceptable that a man who tried to overturn the will of the American people is President.”

The mixed reactions reflected how polarized opinions remain when it comes to Trump and those who strongly oppose him.

More commenters continued reacting to Carville’s remarks, especially the moment where he referenced praying to God. “If you’re praying to God to hate someone so much that you can’t see straight… I highly doubt you’re praying to who you think you are,” one person wrote.

Others mocked the strategist and suggested that Trump continues to dominate his attention. “Carville’s still melting down in 2026? Trump living rent-free in his head forever. Keep crying, James!” another commenter said.

Some expressed concern about the tone of the video. “This guy is always yelling into the camera, very concerning stuff I hope he gets the help he needs,” someone wrote.

Another X user added a political jab, writing, “Asking the Almighty to help you hate harder is maybe the most honest a Democrat has been since ‘deplorables.’ That mask just slipped.”

The reactions showed how the clip quickly became another flashpoint in ongoing political debates online.
