The statement was viewed by many online users as controversial, with some describing it as extreme. At one point in the video, a participant identified online as a Black woman was seen arguing in support of the opinion.

In another video, the discussion is shown escalating at the event as multiple attendees begin speaking over one another. The woman is heard stating that she believes the argument to be true. She also referenced slavery lasting approximately 400 years, which she believed reinforced her perspective on the comparison being discussed.

On the other hand, the event also included less controversial statements presented as unpopular opinions. One participant said, “Men don’t have deep voices anymore,” and argued that some men today sound less masculine and appear physically weaker. Another opinion shared at the event was that wearing dangling earrings makes people look homosexual.
