A man in Arizona sparked outrage after he was filmed confronting a Black worker and demanding to see his Green Card, despite there being no indication that the worker had done anything to prompt the encounter. The video quickly spread online, with many viewers criticizing the man’s behavior as racist and discriminatory.

According to an account shared online, the worker was working at the El Dorado Community in Gilbert when the incident occurred. The man allegedly ran up to him and began yelling and cursing at him, prompting the worker to start recording the interaction. One claim shared alongside the video was that the man also called the worker “a piece of [expletive].”

The video was recorded after the confrontation had already begun. In the footage, the worker can be heard calmly telling the man, “Have a nice day, brother.” Despite the apparent attempt to de-escalate the situation, the man continued walking toward the worker.

As the man approached the worker, he repeatedly demanded, “Show me your Green Card.” The worker then asked him for his name, but the man ignored the question. He then asked the worker, “Are you illegal?” Before leaving, he appeared to curse at the worker again and then ran away from the scene. As the worker continued recording the man running away, he laughed at the encounter. It remains unclear what, if anything, occurred before the recording began that led to the confrontation.

Viewers Outraged After Arizona Man Harasses Black Worker

The video sparked reactions online. Many viewers were outraged by the way the Arizona man treated the Black worker and viewed the confrontation as racially motivated. “Trumps usa, deranged and entitled people,” one person wrote. Another commenter said, “What a racist white weenie, I hope he enjoys seeing himself on here. Nice receding hairline too buddy, lol. I normally wouldn’t say anything about somebody’s looks, this guy is a [expletive].”

Others said the confrontation should never have happened in the first place and viewed the worker as someone simply doing his job. “What makes it so disturbing; the man was just working, doing his job, minding his own business. The aggressor ran up to him; that’s not a misunderstanding, that’s targeted harassment. Calling him a ‘piece of [expletive]’ and demanding a green card is meant to humiliate and intimidate. It happened in broad daylight, in a community safe space. It’s the kind of moment that reminds you how fragile respect can be when someone decides they don’t owe it to another person. Where’s the decency and dignity?” one person wrote.

The video sparked a conversation about the apparent rise in alleged racist incidents in communities and whether such confrontations are becoming more common. It also started a discussion about accountability, with many viewers arguing that people who harass or intimidate others based on perceived race or immigration status should face appropriate consequences.
