A woman in Arkansas shared a video showing how she believed another female restaurant customer intentionally disrupted a video she was filming.

The woman shared the video on her X account and called out the customer in her caption. “Now was I Tripping or was this yt [expletive] playing in my face last night,” she wrote. The video was taken inside a restaurant, and some viewers pointed out a flag displaying the phrase “Don’t tread on me” in the background.

The video showed the woman appearing to have set up her phone on a table inside the restaurant to record herself. As she began posing for the video, the customer could be seen briefly looking in her direction.

The customer then started walking, and moments later, she passed directly in front of the woman, between her and the camera. The woman believed the customer did this intentionally to disrupt her video. She said something to the customer as she walked away and then added, “You could have went a thousand other ways.”

The video quickly gained attention online, receiving more than 16 million views. The woman also shared it on her Instagram account and called out the customer again in a different caption. “Now somebody find this white girl and ask her why she processed the thought of walking through my video then actually DID IT?? Her UGLY [expletive]. When you’re black… you’re never really alone,” she wrote. While the woman was convinced that the customer had done it intentionally, the footage does not establish whether that was actually the case.

Viewers Divided Over Arkansas Woman’s Video

Viewers were divided over how to interpret the Arkansas woman’s video. While some did not believe the customer intentionally disrupted the recording, others agreed with the woman’s interpretation. One person told her, “She saw you and started hating.” The woman responded, “LIKE IM OFFENDED [expletive] YOU WANNA FIGHT OR WHAT!”

More people agreed with the woman’s interpretation, with one person writing, “At first I was going to say no, but then I watched again. She noticed you at the beginning of the video cause she looked at you standing in front of your camera and then deliberately walked over to disrupt.” Others disagreed, with another person saying, “I would have walked in front of you too, you look a mess.” Someone else added, “You tripping a bit nothing about it felt malicious, she past by quickly and you kinda in public sis.”

The video drew attention to how brief interactions in public can lead to different interpretations of what happened. The reactions also reflected the disagreement over whether the customer deliberately walked into the frame or simply happened to pass through the area.
