The Company sends you on harsh scavenging missions, but you must make your quota no matter what you encounter. And what’s worse in Lethal Company? Not making it back to your ship or not making your quota? Either will see you fired, so you must go into each mission with the right gear. There’s plenty of equipment in the indie-horror game Lethal Company, so you need to know how they work to utilize them best.
Lethal Company Equipment – Survival
In Lethal Company, your survival equipment is detrimental to the mission. Without them, your odds of surviving and making the quota are slim.
Equipment | How it Works |
---|---|
Flashlight | A simple way to navigate in the dark. It will drain power fast. |
Pro-Flashlight | A heavier flashlight that covers a wider area. Also requires power to work. |
Walkie-Talkie | Must-have gear for communication between the team. It requires power to work, and it can also be used as a lure for creatures. Full guide on the item here. |
Of all the survival equipment in Lethal Company, you want to get the Pro-Flashlight as soon as possible. It clicks on and off faster to help save power and react faster to incoming danger. As for the Walkie-Talkie, communication is key in the game if you’re playing with others. More so if someone is left behind to keep an eye on the team on the console.
Lethal Company Equipment – Specialized
Specialized Lethal Company equipment focuses on helping you make that quota and keeping you alive. In some cases, like with the Boombox discussed below, you’ll need a solid strategy to use it correctly.
Equipment | How it Works |
---|---|
Boombox | Simply a boombox to play music. It’s the perfect distraction tool to keep certain things in one place. Also good for you if you get lost while traversing the area. Does need power to operate. Detailed guide on the Boombox here. |
Extension Ladder | A box that holds a deployable ladder. You don’t just climb with it, you can use it to cross wide gaps that’d otherwise kill you. Read a longer guide about the Extension Ladder here. |
Key | You can find a key during any mission to unlock any door. It’s destroyed after use though. |
Jet-pack | A powered jet-pack that can get you across gaps. Great for cool points, but terrible for speed. Learn all about how to find and use one here. |
Laser Pointer | Needs power to work, and it can be used to point toward a specific area. Found on salvage runs. Discover more about the Laser Pointer here. |
Lockpicker | It’s an automated lock pick that you attach to a door. Perfect if you lack keys, but be prepared to lug the massive thing around. |
Radar Booster | Used by whoever is on the ship, they can ping it and help crewmates find their way back. More information on the Radar Booster is here. |
TZP-Inhalant | A mix of helium and space amphetamines. Gives you speed, but more importantly, makes you sound hilarious. You can read a detailed guide on how to get it here. |
Using the right specialized Lethal Company equipment can make the mission quicker. The faster you finish, the better your chances of nailing that quota. Sometimes, speed is the most important factor. For instance, it pays to find keys rather than carrying the Lockpicker if it’ll slow you down.
Offensive Equipment
The Company wouldn’t send you in completely defenseless. They have a funny way of showing you support. That’s why your selection of offensive equipment in Lethal Company is amusing at best. Still, they get the job done.
Equipment | How it Works |
---|---|
Shovel | It’s a shovel. Swing it and make sure your aim is true |
Stop Sign | A stop sign. A normal stop sign that you swing and hope for the best. |
Stun Grenade | A grenade that will stun most monsters, freeing you to escape. You can read about how to obtain the item here. |
Zap Gun | A taser that needs power. Can auto-lock creatures and electrocute them until you stop it or it runs out of power. Full walkthrough on how to get it here. |
In contrast to other horror games, the weapons in Lethal Company are entertaining to use. If you’re in a group, work together with different weapons. One can stun while others beat the creatures down. If using the grenade, please throw it before it’s too late. Or hold onto it and see what happens.
Ship Equipment
There’s not much to see here, but what you have can help or hinder your mission. So, use them wisely.
Equipment | How it Works |
---|---|
Loud Horn | It’s a ridiculously loud horn. Blow it to help your lost friends make it back to the ship. Read an extensive guide on how the Loud Horn works here. |
Inverse Teleporter | Teleports anyone living or otherwise into the facility. The location is random, and they’ll drop their weapons. Here’s a detailed guide on how to use it. |
Teleporter | Used from the console, target a player (or corpse) to transfer them to the ship. They will drop all their items. There’s a thorough guide on using the Teleporter here. |
Ship upgrades have pros and cons. The Loud Horn can tell everyone else it’s time to go, but it can attract monsters. A Teleporter is incredibly useful to get people back fast if you don’t mind dropping items.
And that’s all the major equipment you can use in Lethal Company. If you’re working on a team, be sure everyone has a specific role, as that can make it easier to survive the night and make the quota. On solo runs, pick what works best for you and hope you make it out alive.
