An Arizona streamer and her husband decided to take a healing camping trip during an immense time of grief. They expected things to go exactly as planned and spend some quality time together. But things got turned upside-down right as they arrived when campers took their reserved spot.
Avori (@avori) recently endured the loss of a baby and decided to go on a camping trip with her husband to heal together. But as they went camping to grieve their loss, she says “people tried to lie and take our spot.” In the video, her husband pulls up in his van, and you can see people already camping in their reserved area. They have their camping tents set up and everything.
Avori’s husband gets out of the vehicle to confront the people in their spot. She laughs and watches him approach, saying, “This is so awkward!” He doesn’t find anyone and returns to the van. They wait a little while, and soon they see people hiking through the nearby woods. Avori and her husband get out of their vehicle to approach the strangers and let them know they took their spot.
Avori’s husband asks if they’re camping there and says, “We have a booking for today!” Avori stands, bewildered, as the campers try to explain. They tell her they believe there’s a double booking and someone made a mistake. She says it doesn’t make any sense because it’s an online booking. Eventually, after being called out, the woman in their spot allegedly admitted that they didn’t have a booking. This happens only after Avori asks to see the booking they allegedly made.
Avori and her husband went back to their van after calling out the campers. They awkwardly sat in the van and waited for the campers to pick up all their stuff. After all was said and done, they got their camping spot back. Her husband says he’s excited to spend the weekend and enjoy the “perfect weather” with her. It was clearly a peaceful weekend for them.
Commenters immediately reacted to the video, sharing their opinions on how they would have handled the situation. One commenter stated, “Omg I’m so proud of you guys for asking to see their booking! They prob felt so stupid.” Another asked, “So they lied? I mean they didn’t book for two nights and they are liars?” Avori replied, “The host texted us that they didn’t book at all.” Commenters continue to react to her video, shocked by what she faced on her peaceful camping weekend.
