Jennifer Lopez appeared to have caught husband Ben Affleck‘s attention as the couple enjoyed an NYC lunch date in March, although headlines these days are more about those divorce rumors. Stepping out in the Big Apple this Spring, the 55-year-old singer and her 51-year-old husband put on a couple’s display, heading to the celebrity-adored Cecconi’s Restaurant, and not without a PDA.
In photos published by The Daily Mail, actor Ben was seen cheekily grabbing his wife’s behind, but one look at the comments shows a fanbase thinking these two didn’t look happy. Fast-forward to August 2024, and every news outlet around is reporting an impending split, with some sources even saying that the couple’s divorce papers were “finalized months ago.”

Looking stylish, JLo opted for casual chic, modeling a pair of slightly flared, ripped jeans, plus a textured coat jacket in green.
Bundling up in a scarf, the “Jenny From The Block” hitmaker also donned tan stilettos and tinted shades, sporting her hair tied back and keeping glam with an expensive-looking crocodile-skin purse.
Holding Ben’s hand and clutching her phone, JLo failed to crack a smile, and it was a similar affair for Batman star Ben, who did reach one hand to his wife’s posterior in one photo. Despite the PDA, fans didn’t seem convinced that these two were happy.
Ben Looks ‘Unhappy’ And ‘Stressed’
Comments poured in quickly. “No loved-up display…stressed more like it,” one fan said, with over 200 others agreeing. Meanwhile, over 150 users upvoted a comment reading: “Ben always looks so unhappy when he is with JLo.”
Also thinking that Ben looked unhappy was a user saying: “He always looks so miserable. I never understood why she views him as such a prize.”
Others noted that it was Easter Weekend, with a few asking why Jennifer and Ben weren’t spending their time with their respective children. While Lopez shares twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony, Ben is a parent to Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel, shared with ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
The headlines regarding these two are out of control right now. Alongside listing their $68 million mansion, JLo and Ben have been shopping for separate homes. In late July, Affleck purchased a $20.5 million bachelor pad, with August seeing JLo touring a $22 million property. The 2022-married couple has not been spotted together in two months.
Jennifer, who has canceled her summer tour, has so far refused to comment on the mounting speculation that her fourth marriage may soon be over.
