Even in this fantasy world, money is still an issue that you need to deal with. Although you have a job as a guard in Hopeport, you are expected to get your own money. During the tutorial, you will be given a decent amount of silver coins from the suspicious merchant. However, that won’t last very long, and you will need to gain more cash. Many quests will require you to spend a great deal of money. Luckily, there are some great money-making methods that you can try even as a new player in Brighter Shores.
Best Way To Farm Silver Coins in Brighter Shores
As a new player, you won’t be able to gain gold any time soon, and most of your income will likely be limited to copper. However, that doesn’t mean that you will be poor forever since you can use these money-making methods to quickly get cash in Brighter Shores.
- Open treasure chest
- Sell fish
- Sell unused equipment
- Sell dishes and complete Chef’s Bounties
- Sell potions
Open Treasure Chest
The easiest way to quickly get silver coins in Brighter Shores is by opening chests. Unlike most games with their striking appearance, the chests you encounter in this game are rather bland. You should scan your surroundings whenever you enter a new area by clicking the eye icon on the bottom right. This will highlight all the interactable items in the area. You will mostly get copper coins from these chests, but they can quickly add up.
Sell Fish
Another great way to quickly get money is by selling all the fish you catch to the Fishmonger at Eel Street. Note that you won’t be able to start fishing instantly and must purchase the required gear.
You must visit Melv’s Fishing Supplies and purchase a fishing spear. This tool will allow you to capture low-level fish until you can use the fishing pole. You can easily reach this store by going to the Town Square and heading northeast.
Sell Unused Equipment
One of the first jobs you can level up is Guard, and you must beat numerous enemies. When you defeat an opponent, there is a chance that they will drop a piece of equipment. While you can equip all sorts of gear, you won’t use items with lower stats than your current equipment.
Instead of throwing them away, you can sell your unused gear for money to the Quartermaster at the Training Ground. You should be familiar with this place since you must visit the man when you first enter the game. He will accept all pieces of equipment that you bring to him.
Sell Dishes & Complete Chef’s Bounties
Besides selling your fish, you can also cook some into edible dishes. However, many of the ingredients you need can only be obtained from an NPC merchant named Kevin. He stands outside the Delectable Dab Restaurant. Although you will need cash to start cooking, you will eventually make more money by selling your dish to the Head Chef.
After you reach Cooking Level 9, you can unlock Chef’s Bounties. This is a mini-quest where you can complete NPCs’ requests and deliver their requested meal. You can even accept several Chef’s Bounties at once to limit the amount of traveling you must do.
Sell Potions
Lastly, you can also sell some of your potions for money to Ebsworth at the Apothecary. Although having some health potions to help you during battles is useful, you will have more than necessary when upgrading your Alchemist job. Luckily, Ebsworth will happily accept all of your potions.
