A black man in Virginia is facing accusations of targeting white people, allegedly following them, and harassing them.

Videos taken by the man himself began circulating online, appearing to show him following white people and confronting them while they were on the street. In one video, he approached the closed door of a home and told whoever was inside to “come outside.” He then encountered an older white resident and appeared to direct his attention toward him.

“Where you live at? Can you tell me where your house is?”

The man asked the resident where he lived, and the resident responded that he was going to his home. The man then began walking behind him and repeatedly asking him to show where his house was. “Do you belong here?” he asked the resident, who responded, “I don’t know who the [expletive] you are. Get away from me.”

Despite this request, the man continued following the resident and claiming that he knew who he was. He then demanded that the resident tell him his name. “I demand to know your name,” he said while raising his voice. The resident began walking away, but the man continued following him and started repeating his own name.

The man continued repeating his name, prompting the resident to threaten to call the police if he did not “get away.” When the man ignored the warning, the resident took out his phone and began calling the police. At that point, the man appeared to finally change direction and stop following him.

Harassing Someone Else

Another video showed the man targeting another white person, this time a woman. In the video, he filmed himself walking down the street and described the encounter as “round two.” This led some viewers to believe he was referring to it as the second instance of him following white people on the street.

When a car passed by the man, he began yelling at the driver, saying, “Hey, [expletive], stop. You better not move.” He then started running after the vehicle before stopping when he noticed a young woman putting items inside her car. “Where you going?” he asked her.

The man began moving closer to the woman while repeatedly asking her the same question before asking which school she attended. He then claimed that she had “got caught.” She appeared to ignore him as she closed her car and picked up a table, but the man continued speaking to her. He asked a series of questions, including, “What is your name?”, “Who do you serve?”, “Who is your master?” and “Who do you belong to?” As he continued questioning her, he repeatedly moved closer to her.

The woman remained silent and began walking away, but the man continued following her. He then began saying that he should take her belongings because they were already his. “What the [expletive] are you doing here?” he asked. He then began talking about Donald Trump.

As the man continued following and harassing the woman, a white man intervened and pretended to know her. He picked up the table for her, but the intervention prompted the man to ask whether the two knew each other. The woman responded that they “went way back.” The man continued following them while talking about spirits and referring to the two as Adam and Eve.

A third video showed the man continuing to follow the pair, at one point walking in front of them and filming them up close. “And you are gonna see me again, and again, and again, and again,” he told them. He then claimed that they were in hell. The man continued harassing them and moved very close to the woman, prompting her to tell him not to touch her. As he eventually walked away, he began telling them “bye.”

After the videos of the man gained attention, claims began circulating that he was a convicted criminal. Pictures shared in the comments appeared to show a mugshot of the man taken in 2023 following his arrest. An older article also reported on the arrest, stating that he was charged with assault and battery, destruction of property, obstruction of justice/resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct. The charges stemmed from an incident in which he trashed a BP gas station on Belt Boulevard in South Richmond.

Viewers Outraged After Black Virginia Man Targets White People

Many viewers expressed outrage after seeing the black Virginia man allegedly targeting white people on the street, with several calling for him to be arrested. “Call the cops and tell them a strange man is bothering you,” one person wrote. Another commented, “The white man should cross the street and run for his life.”

Another person wrote, “Whites have to completely stop tolerating this nonsense. The minute somebody comes up and harasses you like this they should be laid the [expletive] out. Until that day comes this is going to continue happening and even get worse.”

Overall, the incident certainly raised broader questions about how race can factor into unwanted confrontations in public spaces and whether people with criminal records should face additional oversight after serving their sentences. The discussion ultimately highlighted differing views on public safety, individual rights, and how communities should respond when someone is accused of repeatedly harassing others.
