Taylor Swift and Blake Lively are the best of friends. The pair have gotten so close over the years that the actress enlisted the singer to be the godmother of her and Ryan Reynolds’ four children. Since the two are inseparable, Lively has naturally been worried about Swift after she was forced to cancel her Vienna concerts due to an alleged terror plot.
Blake Lively Calls Conspiracy Involving Taylor Swift’s Canceled Vienna Concerts “Terrifying”
The Gossip Girl star showed concern for her friend during a recent interview with Access Hollywood. While promoting her latest movie It Ends With Us on Aug. 8, Lively took a moment to address the incident involving Swift’s canceled Vienna concerts. Of course, she was just as scared as everyone else after hearing that the shows were at the center of an alleged planned terrorist attack.
“Oh, my gosh. I mean, how terrifying,” she said. Lively then expressed her relief over hearing that the incident was thwarted by Austrian authorities. “Thank goodness that they are completely on top of that,” Lively added.
Swift was supposed to perform in Vienna on Aug. 8, 9, and 10. However, after authorities discovered that a group of individuals had allegedly planned to carry out a terrorist attack during one of the shows, the concerts were immediately canceled.
According to AP News, three suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident. The main suspect was a 19-year-old who planned to “kill as many people as possible” with knives or homemade explosives. The other two suspects were 17 and 18 years old.
While Swift couldn’t perform in Vienna, her Eras Tour will continue in England next week. She’ll take over Wembley Stadium from Aug. 15 to Aug. 20 before continuing her tour in North America this October.
