Brooke Shields’ Postpartum Depression Was “Very Bad”
The actress did not hold back when she sat behind the mic of Marc Maron’s WTF podcast. She told the podcast host how she feared behaving recklessly following the birth of her firstborn, Rowan.
Brooke Shields’ postpartum depression got the best part of her because she stopped using her medications. One day, she drove her car and almost could not control herself.
Shields admitted:
“I thought I was going to drive my car into the wall on the 405. You see it [happening]. It has pictures. They rush, if you close your eyes, into your brain.”
Fortunately, the “Suddenly Susan” star was able to put a call through to her doctor. She remained on the call with the medic until she reached home. But it only turned out to be worse.
